Red has officially been open for 6 months now! Wow, what a ride! We have so many things to be thankful for. We’ve had ups and downs, learned tons of lessons, and we’ve even extended our little family by adding Elysa’s new baby girl, Miss Adalaide Phoenix. This post is dedicated to this amazing little Houston community.
I have family history in The Heights (my grandfather’s 18th St. childhood home is still family owned) and this neighborhood has always resonated with me. It didn’t take long after searching for a storefront that I knew The Heights was the perfect place for Red. Not only because of the thriving economy in The Heights but most importantly because I knew that nobody supports local businesses like Heights residents. I was aware of the alleged support when getting into this little venture but, wasn’t quite sure what it meant. I quickly learned what true community support is. I’m more than honored and humbled to serve this great neighborhood each and every day (except Mondays ;). So, thank you, Heights friends and neighbors.. we’d be absolutely nothing without your support and kindness! Here’s to many more years of filling your bellies with sugary goodness!
